»Paint, no matter what those around you think«; this is the motto of the main character of the film. His children are proud of their father, but his mother and wife disapprove of his work as an artist. In their opinion, as a married man he should pay more attention to his family and earn more money. In the daytime, he runs his own greengrocer’s shop in a market hall in Teheran. When the shutter is closed, he spreads out paper on the floor between the shelves and starts painting. His work has never been exhibited, but this does not keep him from going on.
