The documentary focuses on the Pomeranian immigration into the state of Espirito Santo, 500 km away from Rio de Janeiro. The Pomeranians began to arrive in the region in the second half of the 19th century. These immigrants settled in a remote, mountainous area, and isolated themselves for almost one hunderd years. For this reason they preserve their traditions; in particular, their Pomeranian dialect. PASSADO PRESENTE is a people’s voyage through time and focuses primarily on the presentation of a culture that has been lost in their homeland.
