Thirty years ago Luc de Heusch was doc­u­ment­ing the people of Moul­baix at their work and indulging their pas­sion: play­ing the­atre. Now de Heusch comes back to visit the »elders« and to cel­e­brate the 100th anniver­sary of the the­atre group ‘Les amis du plaisir’. Agri­cul­ture has changed after mech­a­ni­sa­tion. But social life is still as inten­sive as in former times. Some years ago, Alain – a pro­fes­sion­al actor – had changed his grandparent’s farm into a circus cabaret: La Chamarée.
