What does it mean to be a nomad? To move from one place to another to get your livelihood. To live in circumstances beyond your control. To be a member in a group which shares common rituals, beliefs and even common language. Diplomats are a tribe of their own; they are the modern nomads. AMBASSADORS is a documentary film about western diplomats leading a special way of life in developing countries outside Europe. The film follows the life and work of one family, the Lindholms. Glen is the Ambassador of Finland in New Delhi, experienced diplomat with a long career in the third world. His wife Tuovi is trained as a laboratory nurse, but now dedicated to be the wife of a diplomat – which is hard work.
